CHICKAHOMINY RIVER - VA

The Chickahominy River, named after the Chickahominy Indian Tribe, is part of the James River in Virginia. Captain John Smith actually sailed the Chickahominy in 1607 looking for a route to the Pacific Ocean. He should have looked for largemouth bass because the Chickahominy has one of the highest largemouth catch rates in Virginia.
