Lake Anna is a familiar stop for the first tournament of the season. Anglers can expect predominantly pre-spawn conditions and the opportunity for big fish. Lake Anna has frequently produced large fish early in the year during FOBA tournaments, including a 7-0 and 6-13 as recent as the 2018 season.

TX#3 - May 4
Conowingo Reservoir, MD/PA
Conowingo is almost always a powerhouse tournament. Winning weights can break the 20 pound mark and five bass limits are more common here than anywhere else on the schedule. Anglers that can figure out this river-like reservoir can expect quality fishing for both smallmouth and largemouth.
Smallmouth or Largemouth? At Conowingo you can win with either species, or both!
TX#4 - May 17 & 18
Smith Mountain Lake, VA
The second largest lake in Virginia, Smith Mountain Lake has quickly become a popular destination among FOBA members. With no shortage of docks and creeks, it's no surprise why it has become a regular on FOBA's May tournament schedule.
The "home" lake to FOBA, Little Seneca Lake is the site of the 2019 FOBA Memorial Tournament. Held in honor of all fallen FOBA members, the FOBA Memorial is among the most coveted tournaments to win. Co-anglers will need to make sure to pay early, as there is almost guaranteed to be a waitlist!
The first of three FOBA tournaments on the Potomac River will launch from Pohick Bay Regional Park. Early summer is typically very productive on the river with a wide variety of patterns capable of winning.

Chesapeake Bay, MD
The Upper Chesapeake Bay is home to some of the best bass fishing in the area. The Upper Bay has also hosted several professional level tournaments in recent years and is known around the country as a premier bass fishery.
While small in size, Piney Run has an abundance of fish and fishing opportunities thanks to its clear water and thick vegetation. This lake is one of the few places where both ultra shallow and very deep patterns have an equal chance at victory.

TX#10 - September 21
Potomac River, MD/VA
The third Potomac River tournament will again launch from Pohick Bay Regional Park. Anglers will need to figure out the sometimes tough fall transition in order to succeed in the final Potomac River event.
Deep Creek Lake has a reputation of quantity over quality, but Logan Summers proves that there are always big fish to be found.
TX#12 - October 19
Lake Anna, VA
FOBA will wrap up it's AOY points race right where it started, at Lake Anna. With both the tournament title and the AOY titles on the line, this should be an exciting tournament. The fall feed should be in full swing and anglers can expect generally good fishing to close out the regular season.
The lake so nice we fish it twice! Previously held at locations such as Lake Gaston and the Potomac River, 2019 will mark the first time FOBA has held its Classic Tournament at Smith Mountain Lake. Typically a spring destination on the FOBA schedule, cold weather could present a challenging twist to the anglers.
