Ever Heard of a Tater Hog?

Tater Hog aka Matthew McBee is a custom lure painter/artist from N.C. He is probably one of the best up and coming Lure artists in the world. He learned a lot under the tutlidge of a lure painter/artist known as Fatfingers (Famous among collectors). If you have a favorite bait robbed raw or a new one you want in your favorite color,he can make it into a treasure with either one of his custom jobs or any pattern or idea you wish.Ever want to design your own pattern? Hogs the man.He also designs and hand carves swimbaits that can be made to sink or float at your specific preference(mine is the 1ft per 4 seconds).Does a custom bait catch more fish? Maybe. Will you fish the Lure with more confidence? Definitly! Does fishing a lure with confidence help catch more fish? You decide. Worried about snaggin an losin that nice new lure?Go online to specialty tackle and check out the luresaver split rings. To check Taters work out on line just punch in Tater Hog and hit search! If anyone is interested in seeing his work or others HANDS ON let me know and If enough folks are interested I will bring some samples to meeting.Im selling nothing except another way to enjoy Fishin while sitting out the winter.Tight Lines

RE: Ever Heard of a Tater Hog?

Half the price but WITHOUT Question not even close To private artists like tater or fatfingers ,these guys are artists and legends in the custom lure buisness for quality, The painting at Hasbaits is OK if you want Cheap Generic paint refurb on lure.If you want collectable Artwork, the styles of airbrush work, the attention to detail,or the special Custom Paint Formulated for special effect.ie:special coats added to give off Flip Flop effects(color change with movement) Opal effects to give off real fish effect and the list goes on and on... Ive done buisness with both and have baits from both and I am familiar with both their processes.I have both right in front of me and cheaper looks like basic generic paint work for custom. The Taters is like Artwork,The other is cheaper and if you want cheap thats the right spot but as good (LMAO) Better put your glasses on!

Hope you dont mistake me,Its not my point "you will catch more if you spend more" .My tackle view on this issue is from a collectors eye.For catchin ,a simple redworm and a canoe did me fine for over 40 years of Fishin, and probably satisfy that pig of a fish your holding too,NICE CATCH! by the way.Well whatever you like to soak its all good as long as you enjoy what your doin your way! Tight Lines

RE: Ever Heard of a Tater Hog?

Lets talk collecting. Its taken me almost 2 years to finally acquire a vintage storm wiggle wart in missouri craw. Its the holy grail of storm wiggle warts. only cost me 200.00 I wish i still had some of those old bagleys with the brass hangers. Or a rebel p70 pop r, or a zell rowland autographed spook. i have had and lost all of those lures at one point. they are now worth small fortunes.
